2  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / Military Cletracs / Starting handle. on: July 05, 2015, 09:16:28 AM
Hi,
Does anyone have an original starting handle for the MG which they would be willing to photograph and measure for me? or if anyone has a spare they don't need, I'd be interested Grin

Thanks,

Matt.
3  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / Military Cletracs / Re: Cletrac M2 seat frames wanted on: July 02, 2015, 10:25:57 AM
I have the remains of the original seat backs, which were canvas over plywood, with horse hair stuffing. I can get measurements and take pictures if you still need them?. I would like confirmation of how the base cushions were made, though I suspect they were similar to the backs.

Can anyone provide details of the canvas arm rests from the seat ends?.

I'm also in need of a pattern for the top and "doors" should you find one.

Thanks,

Matt.

Thanks Blake. Is the knob you bought black or red? and does it appear to be hard rubber or plastic? the one original I have is made from a dark red rubber.

Hi,

Can anyone please suggest a source for the rubber "balls" used on the Cletrac M2 gear lever, hand throttle and on the front and rear lights?. I seem to recall Zimmerman offering them on their old website, but they are no longer mentioned, and Zimmerman don't seem to use email??.

Thanks,

Matt.
8  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / Military Cletracs / Re: Wanted. Cletrac MG Waterpump. on: November 28, 2014, 01:20:23 PM
Just bumping this back up. I'm still seeking a water pump, as long as the casing is intact condition isn't an issue. If anyone can help please email me aafcollection@btinternet.com

Thanks,

Matt.
9  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / Military Cletracs / Wanted. Cletrac MG Waterpump. on: August 19, 2012, 04:24:11 AM
As the title says I'm now looking for a waterpump for my MG. I sent mine away to a specialist to be rebuilt and it came back with a chunk of the cast casing gone(looks like the guy dropped it) so before I can make further progress on the project I need to source a waterpump. It does not need to be in working order as I have a new shaft etc.

If anyone has a spare I'd be very happy to hear from you!.

Thanks,
Matt.

Hi Matt,

Not really,I have now been loaned originals of the metal parts I didn't have, just need to get the funds together to get some made. Had a slight setback with my MG project when the "rebuilt" waterpump came back with the casting broken.

I will post an update as soon as I have something to report.

Regards,
Matt.

Hi Jean,

Thanks for that. I should have updated the thread but have been busy! I now have a full set of (reproduction)manuals for the MG,and I think I'll be buying a NOS water pump from Jerry Biro as the guy who is supposed to be rebuilding mine has let me down.

Hopefully by the spring I will have my Cletrac running and moving properly.

All the best,

Matt.

Many thanks guys. I'm still waiting for my water pump to come back from the rebuilders,it's been three months with several excuses from them,I think I'll have to ask them to just send it back and I'll find another place to do it.

Hi Jim,

Many thanks for your reply and kind offer. I managed to source the reprint manuals from a guy in Belgium via another UK Cletrac owner(thanks Paul!).

14  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / Military Cletracs / M2 Cooling hose sets on: September 13, 2011, 09:41:03 AM
I need to replace the rubber cooling hoses on my M2 and in order to get the size of hose I need I have to buy it in three foot lengths so I will have more than I require. I intend to make as many M2 cooling hose sets as I can, keeping a spare set for myself there should be another four or five sets.

Would anyone be interested in complete rubber cooling hose sets?.

I am also getting the metal sections reproduced and sourcing the correct hose clips.
