1  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / All Models Except HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / Cletrac W barn find on: September 20, 2016, 02:11:00 AM
Found and bought an old Cletrac W last week. First I only saw the chassis, the owner knew nothing about it and did not even know where the engine, radiator, hood etc was so I was very lucky to find the engine, radiator and all the small stuff laying around in the barn. Owners father had begun an engine swap. Something is wrong with the Weidely engine but donīt know what yet. Tractor is complete except for a home made gas tank.
2  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / All Models Except HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / Tractor by Charles Ray on: November 24, 2014, 09:59:52 AM
I donīt know about you but I like to visit art galleries and exhibitions on my spare time when not chasing odd crawlers. This weekend I went to the Moderna Museet (Museum of Modern Art) in Stockholm Sweden to see the exhibition Sculpture after Sculpture with works of Katharina Fritsch, Jeff Koons, and Charles Ray. To my big surprise I stumbled on real size aluminium model of a Cletrac by artist Charles Ray. The artist spent several years dismanteling a real Cletrac and made clay models of every part including interior engine parts and recast them in aluminium before putting everything together again. An incredible work but in a way a vaste of time.

What can you say about the tracks/grousers on the Cletrac, they seem very "flat". Not much grip with those.

10  Cletrac Tractor Discussion / All Models Except HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / Re: Weidely engine parts on: February 03, 2014, 03:58:07 PM
Hi Bill!
First of all look at the serialnumber plate on the carburettor side, if missing you have the casting number "6010-A" for a Weidely engine and "6010-B" for a Cletrac engine. Look at casting date also, I know a Cletrac engine dated "9-10-20" marked "6010-B", that must be a very early Cletrac engine. They may have made engines simultaneous for some time. Start with this and come back with what you find.

Hi
I'm having three W tanks being made for me in Poland. Will use one for my W and might be willing to sell one of the other ones. Send me an e-mail cletrac@tele2.se so I can send you photos when they arrive.
