News: 10/5/12 - All new members are REQUIRED to fill out the signature section of your profile. Otherwise, you may be deleted from the forum. This is to help me determine if you are a member or if you are a spammer. Thank you.

9/22/12 - I ask that you please add a signature line to your profiles on the Cletrac Forum to help me to determine who is spam and who is not. You don't need to drop everything and do this immediately, but please do it when you get a minute and you are visiting the forum. Just go to http://cletrac.org/forum2010/index.php?action=profile and put something in the signature area. If you no longer want to be a member on the Cletrac Forum, please remove your membership.

8/10/11 - Added a new board: Trucking and Hauling

5/30/11 - Just added several new pictures to the Photo Gallery, including several Alfta Track OC-4 working in snow logging, several from the Chicago Road Show, and some from a logging show (not all Oliver/Cletrac). All these pictures are from around 1963 and were scanned from old slides given to me by my late friend John W. Davis. Go to the Photo Gallery and click on "NEW" to see these pictures. Quality is marginal, but I think you will enjoy them.

2/13/11 - Just added a new board "New members introduce yourselves here".

Folks, I just added a new photo gallery where you can upload your own pictures with descriptions, etc. Right now this is in the beta testing stage to see how it works out. Give it a try, but please keep a backup copy of your pictures just in case we decide to use something else. I would prefer you use your real name on the photo gallery, but if you really don't want to, please use the same username as on the forum. Please put your images into the proper categories and take care when your write out your descriptions and image names so people can search for them. I am learning this as we go. At least at the beginning, I have it set up where the administrator has to approve members. I am afraid we may get porn spam in here if we leave it open. To get to the photo gallery, use this link: http://cletrac.org/photos/

Folks, when you join the forum, or when you get the chance to update your Profile, please be sure to put your location and interests. Filling out your signature would help as well. I've been getting some spammers joining and posting links to sites that are completely unrelated to Cletrac or Oliver, or anything to do with tractors. It would make it easier for me, as well as all the other members, if you guys would put your location and interest in your profile. See http://cletrac.org/forum2010/index.php?topic=1299.msg5184#msg5184

Thanks,

Hi all

I am currentley having various brackets and parts made for my MG-1 including push pole clamps/brackets, headlight brush guards and other bits.

I know several people in the past have wanted the canopy support frame, I intend to have two sets made for myself, from an original set that someone has kindly allowed me to borrow. If anyone out there also needs a set please let me know in the next four weeks. I realise I am located in the UK but the frame is quite light and would easily ship between two thin sheets of ply.

The canopy support consists of:

two vertical rear supports
two side rails
two canopy two supports

The sets will come with the two footman loops and be primed.

I will have a price in twio weeks for anyone that is interested.

I can get other push pole brackets made if required but these are quite heavy, if you want one let me know.

Regards

Paul

I'll take a set.  Just contact me when you get the price (or post it here) and we can work out the payment details.  You had also mentioned having windscreen locknuts made, but I haven't seen an update recently--or did I miss it somewhere?

I've got the headlight guards--what I will eventually need to replace is the headlamp housing, itself.  But I'm not worried about that, at the moment.

Ok guys

I intend to pick up the canopy frame on Friday and take it over to get a price, so I would guess give it ten days and I should have a costing. I will post it on the forum and if you still want a set will can go from there.

I will  get six sets of poles made, more if anyone else wants them.

I may also be able to get canvas sets made as I have just found someone that has an original set that he may be willing to allow to be copied. This is a complete canvas with side panels, rear and top. This will not however be until after Christmas, again if you think you may want a set let me know.

Still waiting for a price on the windscreen knobs as a friend of mine is dealing with that, he is very very busy so knobs take a low priority!

Cheers

I'm a looong way from needing the windshield knobs, so no rush!  You can plan on signing me up for a set of canvas, as well.  After Christmas is fine, after all, my M2 still looks like this:

I appreciate the extra work you (and your friend) are doing to make these parts available to the rest of us.

You can add me to the list for top bows and windscreen nuts - feel free to contact me on or off the board for details - no rush as I just picked up the pair while in the middle of a M543a2 project (5ton m-series wrecker) so it will be a little bit before these two get their proper attention...

Hi all

Sorry for the lack of progress reports, been a bit busy at work to do vehicle bits.

Well I have seen the new cannopy frame sets, I have had six sets made. They just need to have footman loops fitted ready for blasting and priming.

I have had a quote to make exact replicas of the footman loops, it would be USD15 per loop, i.e USD30 for the pair needed for the cannopy frames. Basically I need to know whether people would prefer me just to get the holes drilled and they source a footman loop that is near to the originals or whether people would prefer the exact loop???

I will get some photos posted of the new frames in a couple of weeks when they are primed and ready for shipping.

My vote would be to have the footman's loops fitted.

Hi Paul,

As you know I'd like a set,and I would prefer the correct footman loops fitted if possible.

Thanks,

Matt.

Just to let you all know I will be picking up all six sets of new canopy frames next Friday. All the required footman loops have been made by hand! Adrian has done an excellant job the sets are identical to the originals in all respects!!

Check out this link on how he makes the footman loops:

http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?22808-Footman-loops

Will post some photos of them next weekend.
