The DDH and La Plante Choate scraper had both sat for 30 years. The DDH was bought new by the Kaluza family, who lives just over the hill from me. The scraper is owned by Chumly Duffy. I'm on the DGH. We just got the DDH running a few weeks ago, and the pan about 5 mins before video was shot. Blake is the Camera man!

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors.

That FDE sounds terrible! It has a cracked injection line on one cylinder, and has a slight miss. I didn't run it very much cause of it. Will get a better video of when its runs like its supposed to

Thanks for the compliment, I do appreciate it! Helps keep me motivated. I don't know why those lines keep cracking. This is the second one now, and I've never heard of such a problem.
I forgot about the video you were refering to Ian. A guy and his dad go around to the construction equipment shows and take some excellent videos.
