Hi Guys,
Some of you have probably seen my belt pulley thread. I have the idea to make some parts to help guys get their machines going again, and bring in some extra income for me.
What kinds of parts do you guys need that I may be able to make. I have a lathe and bridgeport to work with.
Dave

The under-seat tool boxes for HGs and OC3s are always missing. I've never seen an original.
I'd also like a battery tray that mounts on the rear drawbar assembly or to the rear transmission plate for 31 gauge models. They are just too cramped to put the battery in front of you, and where they were meant to be - on the right-hand fender - is too flimsy to support the weight of a battery. On my OC3-31 I have the battery strapped on the rear drawbar support shelf. You cannot do that on an HG. I'll try to post a pic. It works pretty well.

I lucked out and got an original tool bow on an HG I bought. If you need a pattern, I might be able to help.

Good Thinking,
I actually need to make a toolbox for under the seat of my HG.
I just made up a Battery Box for an Allis WD I am working on (Not Mine, if thats a good or bad) so maybe a toolbox would be easily doable too.
Bob, if you can throw out a picture or two and some dimensions it would be greatly appreciated.
Attaching a picture of the WD box for comparison
Thanks, Dave

I saw a nicely constructed step bolted to the track frame of an HG once. Very handy in icy and slippery conditions. Small enough not to hang-up on everything, but big enough to be functional.

Magneto repair services would always be in demand. If someone was willing to accept mail-in magneto/carburetor/etc parts to be repaired. Or even an exchange service for more common models.
If someone was really good with welding and brazing cast iron manifolds, they could have a mail-in repair service for them. A lot of times manifolds could be repaired and surface ground before they are absolutely junk. For instance, the manifold on my Cletrac E with OOC engine has a small hole at the #4 port that could still be repaired without having to replace it completely. These manifolds are very hard to find!
