TTX 21 Carburetor replacement ?

Please help...I have a Schebler TTX 21 carburetor that has a defective float. I can't find a new float anywhere, but I am wondering if there is a more readily available replacement/interchangeable carburetor that will work? Its off a 1945 Oliver 99 ....or a Hart-Parr 28-44 would be the same I assume.

You can't somehow epoxy floats from another float onto the framework? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Is it a brass float? Or cork? You can easily solder another brass float to the arm to make it work. Just have to locate one that fits and is similar shaped.

Or, if your float only leaks, perhaps you could solder the holes? Make sure you don't make it too heavy though.

The float is brass and is in the shape of a small hockey puck. I have not seen another one even close to the same size or shape.
It does leak and I had unsuccessfully tried to solder it years back. I was able to piggyback a piece of cork onto it, which was working up until it calved in the middle of a parade last summer. Hence the search for a better solution.
I will try epoxy and some new cork, if I can't find what I need.
By the way...I just missed a complete TTX 21 carb. on e-bay, and not far from me.

Cork will absorb gasoline and sink, unless it is sealed with shellac. Unfortunately, ethanol will dissolve shellac, so cork floats are out unless coated with something that is both gasoline and ethanol resistant. Plus, whatever it is coated with has to be light.

I've seen round floats like that. I bet someone could solder it, unless it's totally destroyed.
