13th Annual Old Construction & Mining Equipment Show

September 10 & 11, 2016

New Athens, Ohio


13th Annual Old Construction & Mining Equipment Show will be September 10 and 11, 2016 at the Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park grounds. On Ohio 519 (Stumptown Road), between U.S. 22 and New Athens, Ohio. Just over 1 mile west of New Athens, Ohio.


 Antique trucks, construction, and mining will be on static display and in operation throughout the weekend. Equipment owned by the Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park (HCRHP), members of the HCRHP, Ohio Valley Chapter of the Historical Construction Equipment Association, Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club, and other organizations will be displayed or in operation such as draglines, shovels, trucks, crawlers, dozers, and more. Show runs Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday 9am-4pm. Equipment will be in operation around 10am-6pm Saturday and 9am-4pm Sunday. The Silver Spade operators cab and bucket are located on the grounds.  We invite members to bring machinery for static display or operation. Volunteers are always needed.

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Please help Support This Site and give your business exposure by buying a business card sized ad.
