Cletrac MG-2

Folks,

New to the forum.  In finding the Cletrac fuel trailer photo and passing it along to Blake and company, I became intrigued by the military uses of Cletrac products.

Most of you are familiar with the MG-1, which was the M2 High Speed Tractor.

Some of you have heard of the MG-2, which was also a candidate for designation as a High Speed Tractor.  The MG-2 was a bit different and was apparently unsuccessful in the competition for designation as a high speed tractor for artillery,

However,  it was used to create the M5 gun carriage,

which it turns out was also not successful and was never formally adopted.
