Title: oc 12 questions
Post by: thenewkid on March 21, 2005, 05:24:46 AM
I have some questions, I just pulled an Oc-12-60-G out of three feet of snow and dragged home in pieces. The serial # is 1JR-070. I am looking for a supplier or a person that has two drive sprockets and one front idler for sale. Also can some one tell me what model Hercules engine this came with It has a Gas engine. Are bearings, rings and gaskets avaible anywhere for this engine? Also any idea what year this machine was made, I saw some where a partial serial number listing that would make it a 1956-57? any help is apreciated.

Sincerly,
James Chichetto

Your OC 12 is and early 1957. The engine is a JXD 4" bore by 4 1/2 " stroke. for 339 cu in. For parts the best chances are from Zimmermans, see ad on this site.  These were a good tractor.  There were three types of steering available.  The standard diff steering, power turn and spot turn. Does your have a foot brake on the right?  Too tell what kind of steering you have take the small cover off under the fuel tank.  If the bars that connect the steering bands to the steering levers are straight, then you have standard diff steering. If they have a bend in them and you can see gears between the steering bands you have power turn. If you can"t see gears its spot turn.
