Howdy. Just joined today. I currently have only one Cletrac, a 1937 streamlined E-62. My father and I rebuilt the engine, replaced the clutch and brake bands and painted it in 1974. It still runs great today, but it needs to be painted again and I would love to find engine side panels for it. If anyone can tell me the correct paint to use, whether or not decals where used on 1937 models and proper placement of these, and if side panels are available anywhere, I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to learning a lot from you people, and I apologize for the corny username. My wife tends to call me this frome time to time, so I thought what the heck, Thanks!

I too have an E. In fact, I have two E's - an early unstyled E-62 1932 that is in running condition and needing a new paint job too; and I have a later streamlined E-62 with electric start. Unfortunately, the later one is missing its serial number plate. This tractor is currently apart and will be a real show piece when finished.
I have made up vinyl decals, patterned after the original decal on the later E. This is the large oval on the back and sides of the seat. Email or PM me for prices.
When I restored the older E, I used Martin Senior Cletrac Orange from NAPA. It went on nice and looked great, but it is not acrylic enamel and will therefore fade over time. Next time I would use acrylic with hardener, Imron, or another urethane that will not fade out. There are color numbers out there. When I again paint the older E I will use the proper brown and tan colors.
