Title: need some parts and lot of advice
Post by: Donn on June 01, 2005, 07:53:54 PM
Just pulled a Cletrac model AG Serial # 2X2810 out of a barn that had collaspe on it. The original owner had replaced the 4 cylinder Hercules engine, manual start, with a GMC 6 cylinder, removed the radiator and grill etc. I would like to restore this tractor back the original condition. So will need a complete engine with mag, carb, manifolds, water pump and a radiator. Is a soucre for these parts? Also would like to set up conversation with anyone about this project.
Thanks

Just an FYI for you. The reason the AG 6 came about was that durring World War 2 the government took the Hercules OOC engines for the war effort. If you had an Cletrac after this point (1943) and for waht ever reason you needed a complete engine you were not offered a Hercules OOC  engines. If you ordered this  replacement engine from Cletrac you received a F226 Continental.  Questions get in touch.
