i know, i know. i'm supposed to park the crawler with a block of wood keeping the clutch slightly depressed. well it is now too late for that. so how to i unstick this thing? i guess i have to pull the driveshaft out and bell housing off.
on a positive note, i haven't run the old girl since 19-DEC-04, and she started right up (i have the crawler stored in a clean, dry polebarn). good oil pressure and the temp started coming up to operating range after a few minutes running.

You've got another tractor right? or maybe your P/U will work.
Put the crawler in first gear, tie down the clutch pedal, tie a
rope to the back and try to pull it alittle?
also put a post on the red power board, these guys usually
have some good ideas...

PS. I've started to restore my OC last month & amost have everything
broken down to the frame! What a big job, but it make my frame,
trackframe,rollers, and final drive restoration easy!

Put it in HIGH gear with the pedal tied down and try pulling it forward. High gear puts much more load on the clutch than in first!!

I'm not sure about the high gear statement...
I would be worried about putting too much torque
on something and snapping it...

Andy BTW, If you ever tear down your OC I've got one
word for you. "DIRT" dirt,dirt, and more dirt. I've had
dirt,grease, grime, in every square inch of this machine.
Even after washing it with the pressure washer! But now
that thinks are apart I can take a brush, screwdrive, CROWBAR
to the thick stuff and clean it up... I'll take some photo's in a
couple days & e-mail you.

Robert is correct, less torque in high gear, On the wheel tractors we used to tell the customer find the best log chain they had and a tree at least a foot in diameter hook the tractor up and with the petal DOWN when the chain got tight it would free right up.

If the log chain and tree method doesn't work, pull the starter out, and with any luck, you can see the edge of the clutch disk. Block the pedal down, and using something like a flat wrecking bar or bent up screwdriver, pry the disk away from the flywheel. As soon as you get one edge lifted, it should pop right loose. Worked for me.
i ended up pulling the bellhousing off. i've done it several times before and the entire process (disassembly, popping the pressure plate off, reassembly) only took about 90 minutes, maybe less. everything is back in action now so i'm ready for the weekend!

Andy, now that you have it free,if you leave it set for any extended period put a block of wood behind the clutch pedal to keep it disengaged. This will prevent it from sticking again.
