were some of the early cletrac w's painted green originally ?what year were the solid side panels get changed to louvered panels ? if the early models were green was this before the cletrac name was used ? if have seen a couple that said cleveland tractor company on the side instead of cletrac .
Walter,
I am not sure on the color, but the term "Cletrac" came about in 1918. I have seen some H's with Cletrac on their cast iron radiator, but most had a smooth brass radiator with no cast wording. I think all W's were called Cletracs.

From serial number 1000 to 13755 were Model H's, They were all dark green with red undercarriages. The W's were battleship gray. The first H's had a tin radiator then it was changed to a cast radiator with no name on the front and the later H's had Cletrac on the radiator. The serial number tag says Cleveland on the early ones and Cletrac on the later tags. Sparky
