The guy that i'm buying the dozer from said he couldn't find and identification plates on the unit. I rode down and it only took me about five minutes to find both the vin. plate for the dozer and the blade. I don't think he even looked. The dozer was labled,
Model OC4-42-IND
Vin 2TG-784
I couldn't make out the third character in the vin until I got home and started looking up numbers. I thought maybe it was an "8" or "9". But when I looked it up I found it had to be a "G". It has an Aderson blade. I found out it's a '57 model. I was curious though. If "IND" is industrial were all dozers maked as such?

Does anyone know?

It probably does mean "Industrial".
Well I figured it ment industrial. My question was were all dozers marked this way or was it a specialty thing?

I guess all dozers were marked industrial.
