Hello all, long time since last post.During replacing brakeband linnings on my oc3,I discovered that the support in the differential housing is busted allowing brake cam to rub brakedrum.Has anyone repaired this problem with housing in frame?suggestions welcome. Thanks Kevin
I have seen people gas weld those with brass if all of the casting is still there and just cracked .you would have to do alot of cleaning to remove the oil so brass will hold. I also took one apart where the housing was drilled and a small u bolt was inserted from the inside out to hold the casting together . these are quick patches and the only real fix is to replace the whole trans. case but that is a lot of work.

Walter i think i may be quite dumb with this question. I have a OC3 industral i have drove it a few times and it don't have any brakes. No pedal nothing what am i missing :?: . This made me wonder when i first drove it but thought can;t go fast enough to hurt and thing any way if idled down and in gear??????????????????????

You should be able to see all of the brake components and any problems - just by removing the back cover (or PTO) of the transmission/differential.
Usually an easy fix, unless the case is cracked or broken.

There is no brake pedal. the steering levers are for both brake and steering. If you can steer ,you have brakes if not try to adjust . If that does not help remove the pto or rear cover and have the bands relined .

Dick and Walter thanks now i know where the brakes are. 8)
