Title: Steamlined verus prestreamlined E38
Post by: CHUCKWAGON on September 21, 2006, 10:12:05 PM
My cletrac serial no. (2H766) for  my E38 tells me that I have a streamlined E38 from (1936-1938).  The oliver crawler tractor production guide also indicates that there was a pre streamlined E38 for (1934-1936).

What is the difference between the two units.  How can I tie down a difinite year built for my strealilned E38.

Thanks

From the first set of numbers it should be a model E38 [38 guage] ,OOC would be the correct engine for the crawler. The engine should have OOC stamped on the left side behind the oil filter canister at the top of the block. Some one may have swapped the engine since it was new .
