I wonder if someone has a DJXC engine out of their Oliver BD. If so, could you take a measurement for me, please.
I need to check the distance from the rear of the flywheel housing to the rear end of the flywheel itself - in other words, how far the flywheel protrudes into the clutch housing.
I know the flywheel is recessed to take the clutch plate assembly, however I do have an original flywheel (without an engine unfortunately) which will allow me to work out exactly where the clutch should be when installing a non original engine.
Easiest way would be to place a straightedge across the back of the flywheel and measure the distance from the straightedge to the flywheel housing surface.
