went and had a look at the DDH on the week end it looks pretty straight its been stood up for a while it has a angle blade with a buckie pcu on the backit still has one of its battery covers witch is pretty hard to find over hear.only drama is it needs a set of steering brakes .are these wet type brakes? and can they be relined?the other drama is that at some point in its life a conrod broke #3 it didnt wreck the block but i guess they couldnt get one so they taped the crank journal and shes been running on five pots for a fair old while i had a look for the machine #3501817 can any one date her from this?? allso iv just stuck a new ish set of rollers under my BDH i couldnt find a set of tracks (the set i wanted got gased a week be fore i got to them )so i fitted a set of D4-5Utracks same pitch but the rail width is a little narrower i left the track guides off as they were stuffed iv been for a few laps around the paddock an she hasnt throwne them yetthe question is what oil goes in the gear box and final drives any thoughts would be great.

The serial number would make it an early 53 model, it would have the lower speed gears. The brakes can be relined and are a wet type ( oil ).
Any brake and clutch shop should be able to do them. I got parts for my DRXC from M & M surplus. they are listed in the parts section of this site. The DDH uses the DRXB engine which has a 4 3/8 bore. It would be good to replace that cylinder as running with five puts the engine way out of balance, that is hard an the crankshaft and that engine hard a habit of breaking crank's!
