Title: Cletrac DGH
Post by: Badlandsiron on April 07, 2007, 12:30:30 AM
Hello Boys, been looking at the forums for a while and thought I'd ask the experts for a quick thought on a '49 DGH I'm looking at purchasing.  I've known the machine all my life.  I know it's had the bottom end gone through, uses no oil, has about 65%-70% UC, starts good.  Asking 2-2500, to much?  It does need a paint job!   :)  It has a Heil 10' blade, works fine.

It is hard to put a value on an old tractor if you are looking at it as a work machine.  Parts are hard to find, so I look for something for which parts are more available.  As an antique, one with a good engine that uses little oil and with a good undercarriage are very hard to find.  If it was close to me 2000 to 2500 would not be unreasonable. It all depends on want you want if for and how much time you can aford to work on it.  They have plenty of power for there size, but they are old tractors and not as easy to run as the modern ones!

Jensales has a link on this site. They may have a manual. There's usually some manuals on Ebay too.

This might help someone else on here that is looking for classic Cletrac information.

Cramiesmanuals.com has collectors items for Cletrac, but they also are willing to help you find manuals if you contact them.   :D
