Title: HG lower track wheels
Post by: dewks on April 17, 2007, 07:02:53 PM
Hello, I am taking apart the lower track wheels on a HG crawler. I can't find any bushings or remains of bushings. Were all made with bushings or were some made without? Thanks.

I looked in a early Cletrac HG parts book and it shows bushings in a holder . There should be a shell bushing in a holder that is pressed into the track wheel.

Hello Walter, thanks for the reply. Having never taken apart a lower track wheel I first studied the service manual and parts book. I expected to find a bushing in the retainer but being the first whell was quite sloppy thought maybe bushing was all chewed up and gone. Then took apart a second one that was alot tighter and still found no bushing. The cast bearing has a number cast in of 112308. The parts book says this was replaced with number 112741. I guess it dosen't really matter other than I will have to bore retainer for bushing to rebuild. Thanks
