Hello everyone.
I'm new to the site and wanted to post a couple pics of the latest & greatest project in my stable. My son is already "bonding" w/ her..LOL..
This is our first crawler.
I'll have plenty of questions in the near future..

Congratulations, My first one shows up this wednseday so I am all excited.
Don't know the year of manufacture, yet. I have a ops manual & a service/shop manual for it.
A little history on this machine-
It has been in the same family since the day it was bought new at a local dealership. Kind of a "one owner" machine. It's never seen any dirt other than "home dirt".
It was painted yellow in 1976 when the owner had some paint left over from another project and decided the Oliver was going to be the candidate for the surplus paint.
Some things have been "cobbled" over the years, but what working machine doesn't have "make-shift" pieces to keep it going?? Lord knows a bunch of runners out there have some very innovative creations on them.
A few things needing mechanical attention are-
-the radiator has a hole in it
-the starter needs rebuilding/replacing (gotta crank it by hand or pull start it)
Other than those 2 things, mechanically, it's in good working shape.
The under-carriage is in fairly decent shape. Nothing is "egg-shaped" or squared off. All rollers are rolling. The sprockets have good definition. The clutch has good pressure and engages smoothly. The brakes feel/operate good. The PTO works good & doesn't make strange noises while engaged.. The engine runs good. Like normal on older machines, just about every seal is sweating, which is not necessarily a "bad" thing..
The battery box is long gone & a make-shift battery platform has been added to the side to accommodate the battery.
The 6v coil has gone bad and a 12v external coil has been attached to the nearest screw to get it up & moving. I've seen this modification quite a few times already.
The tin is nearly perfect. The only damage is on the grill piece at the very bottom. It's rolled under a tad, but is salvageable. The fuel tank was given some attention to a few years ago.
