Title: 40D missing tool ?
Post by: TEDV on January 14, 2003, 01:26:25 AM
1936 Cletrac 40D.  Under the left inside of the hood there are 2 spring clips about 12" apart.  They look like they would hold a round object about 2" in diameter. Any ideas?

Yes it's the oil gun for lubricating the lower track wheels and idlers. You could make one by buying an oil suction gun and adapting a 1/2" pipe male end on it that screws onto the oil fittings on the track frames. Good luck.
