Title: Replacement model/serial number plates
Post by: 100550dvr on June 05, 2008, 04:47:29 AM
I am searching for a replacement model/serial number plate to complete the restoration of my HG42. The original plate is badly worn. I realize many people would want to keep the original plate on the crawler. My view is somewhat different. Evrything looks new...why not the model/serial plate?

About the best you could hope for is to find a source for some unused blank plates and transfer the numbers with stamps. If anyone had them Zimmermans would. I'm doing the best I can to restore my data plates. Let me know if you find a source. And post some pics of your crawler!

There is a company called "Kayenay Graphics Inc." (K & A) out of Mason City Iowa. 641-424-2535, or 800-779-2535. This info is from an out dated flyer of their's, so I hope it is still accurate. They stock a number of the more common tractor and antique engine model/serial number plates. If they don't stock it they can custom print what ever you need. If you call them, they will send you a flyer with instructions on how to order. The old flyer I have does list the plate for the Hercules engine in the HG/OC-3, but It didn't list one for the tractor.
