I just purchased what I was told is an OC3 (Data plate is missing). The manuals I received with it are for an OC3. I just looked at the photos on this web site and the one I have looks like a HG because it has the wide track. Are there OC3ââ,¬â,,¢s with wide tracks? Are there any other differences other than the track width between the HG & OC?

Those crawlers were made in 31, 42 60 & 68 inch gauge. Gauge being the center to center width of the tracks.

can you show us a pictue,or discribe it more detail? 12 v or 6v ,,distributor or magneto? is the tranny on rearend or on bellhousing,, water pump or not,,4 cylinder or 6.....a picture is worth a thousand words sound ok to you ?

The tractor is still stored where I bought it. I will get up there and take some photos next weekend. I may bring it home to do some work on it. It seems to be in good shape. It starts good, runs and drives quite well.

I went to the put the shift lever back in the tractor yesterday and gathered some additional information.
Track width is 60 ââ,¬Å"
Manifold casting has the word ââ,¬Å"OLIVERââ,¬Â in the casting and has number 39736D also.
There is no water pump.
The casting date on the block is 3-5-49 with the number 3837D also.
It is 6 volt with a magneto ignition.
Transmission is on the rear end.
Engine has four cylinders.
From previous owners I learned that the serial number could be 3675675 TC but there is no way I know of to confirm that.
We are to have good weather for the next few days so I will bring it home to do some TLC things to it.
Track width is 60 ââ,¬Å"

On the otherside of the block is a flat spot. The engine model number and serial number for the engine are stamper there. I will get with you later this afternoon, but I would say you have a late 1949 or early 1950 HG. That long number you gave is not the serial number.

I found the following numbers on the machined flat spot on the block opposite the manifold. 2431841, and 1XK3. These numbers are stamped.
Also I talked to Landis Zimmerman today to order some parts and he thought it must be an HG based on the date embossed on the block behind the mag. He also provided the correct paint code for the tractor.
