Title: Starter Switch Plate on '47 HG
Post by: chrisvdv on April 18, 2009, 03:28:10 PM
Can someone send me or post a close-up photo of what the starter switch box should look like when hooked up correctly - and where?
Mine has been messed with and welded as you can see. What SHOULD it look like?

I am trying to fit a new one. What goes in the other hole on the new switch plate? Shut-off switch?

To answer my own Q for future renovators:
Landis Zimmerman told me that this exact set-up and positioning was factory standard for a short while before they moved those smaller switches up to by the gauges.

And the new stater switches have a slightly different 2-bolt pattern to the older ones, so I will have to re-drill mine, or change it over to a new plate.

Wow
really looks like a clean machine, the paint looks great. I hope that when I get done with mine it looks that good.
