Title: OC-5

Has anyone actually seen a real OC-5? I'd like to know if there are any still existing.

I have never seen anything to indicate that an OC 5 was ever produced.  They may have made and experimental model but I don't think they ever made it to production.

They made 5 or 6 (not sure) of them that were experimental. My uncle Howard ran one building the Chagrin River cut in Willoughby, Ohio in 1960. There was one working on a farm in Geauga County, Ohio, near Newbury and one working in logging I think near Bradford, Pa someplace.

I think they were something between an OC-4 and OC-9. Probably had the OC-9 steering and power shift.

There was also a late model OC-12 made with power shift for experimental. Not sure how many were made, but Landis Zimmerman bought one in Iowa a few years ago.

Title: I found my pictures!

I found my pictures of the OC-5... actually an OC-56 loader. Unfortunately they are slides and I can't scan them with my scanner. I'll find someone around here who can do them and I'll get them posted.

It would be interseting to see the pictures of the OC 5. You can always learn something new from these boards!! I have a cutaway drawing of an OC 12 powershift in one of my books,  There are 6 clutch packs in it. It looks like four speeds with forward and reverse. This would be quite an expensive transmission to produce so am am not surprised it did not go in production. It would be a nice tractor to operate !!

Robert, can you scan that late OC-12 picture and send it to me? Try to get it real high resolution so the details show up good. Or you could mail it to me and let me do it. Thanks.
