What would the original carb be on a 20c with ooc gas engine. Its a later one (1935-36). Got it with a tillotson carb but it looks like it may have been put on at a later time. did they come with different carbs originally or all have the same?
I think the Tillotson is original. My 1936 E with the same engine has a Tillotson. It runs pretty good with it, but my Gramps always said he liked the Marvel Schreblers better.

Thanks Blake, I haven't got the carb off yet but today was putterin around it and noticed the linkage seems jerry rigged abit. Probably normal, seems that was the way of it back in the day, use what was available. I pulled the plugs after I got it home awhile back and put some pb blaster/wd40/diesel concoction down the cylinders and today the motor turned over with the crank, albiet slowly with alot of effort, but it is a good sign. The manifold is I'm afraid beyond repair, has a sizeable hole (1" or so) at the back cylinder at the bend just where it goes in, burned out or just rusted out i don't think its repairable, but doing an internet search these things are scarcer than hen's teeth. I did locate a parts machine that I could (will) be purchasing but the motor is stripped for the most part so doesnt help me there, and 90% of the tin is missing. I've started on a new building to house it over the winter, then I can begin tearing it down.

I doubt if you will find a rebuild kit for the carb, but if you take it apart carefully, you should be able to clean everything up and re-assemble it. You may have to make a new gasket.
From what I have seen, these tractors do not have primitive throttle linkages. Maybe someone changed yours?
Those manifolds are about impossible to find, so be careful with yours. if it just has a hole somewhere, it can probably be brazed or welded by someone who knows what they are doing. You'll want to grind and prep it, then preheat and stress relieve. Once you are all done, it would be a good idea to have it planed. As long as it is not all busted up and in a thousand pieces, it's probably saveable.
