Looks good. I can't see anything different from that than my ADH. I thought the undercarriages for the "L"s were off a "B" or just longer. I've never seen another "L" to compare too so I don't know.

Thanks,
Bob

I discovered two of them at a fishing camp out of town in 1980, one was beat to death including the tub.  Upon retirement the resto began, with parts comming from Pa. it took 2 years to complete.
As to it`s  originality as an "L"  I can only go by the 2 tags that were present on the firewalls.
This foto was the start point.

Well I did a little looking for fun in my AD parts books. I thought the logger models had longer tracks and I think I did find that on one model they do. But the same number is listed for regular tracks and logger tracks for the A models. However the track frame and lower rollers are different between the 2.  Also changes were made to those parts after 1955 and before 1959 as they have the later style part numbers. More details later.

I'm looking at my 1945 pricelist and it says the lower track wheels are the same as a "B". It should also have lower track wheel rock guards, a bellhousing guard, special rear sprockets, a 48" forestry type bumper, and front pull hook. After closer investigation of your pics the sprockets do look heavier than the ones on my ADH. Maybe a little taller too to accomidate the "B" track wheels. Very interesting indeed.

I was looking for info on the Logger special a long time ago and now its finally all coming together!

What is the difference in diameter between A and B lower track wheels? Perhaps there was an attempt to keep them out of the mud on the Logger Special tractor.

I checked the tags, now comes the quandary. They are ADHL 2Z956 and ADH 2Z974, it is possible the trackframes don`t belong?
  Roller diameters are OD. - flange is 8 1/2" - face is 6 3/4".
Sprocket is 23" tooth tip to tip. There would be a 1/4" elevation of the shoe off the ground sitting level.
Bob, the spokes have been reinforced each side of the web.
   What have I got?

You've got me beat. I'm not sure. I don't know this for sure, but I think the sprocket for a regular A is 23". I'll have to measure the trackwheels on my As and Bs to see the difference and report back. Its no doubt you have 2 Loggers, but I suppose they could have been worn out and replaced with regular A parts without somebody realizing what was happening until it was too late...
