Title: Cletrac Orange Paint
Post by: Jim Riggleman on May 06, 2003, 09:30:44 PM
I am restoring a 1946 Cletrac AG-6 that is Cletrac Orange.  I was given a PPG-Ditzler number 60583 as a correct color, but it appears too yellow to me.  Do you have a PPG-Ditzler number or number for an equally good paint  that is an exact match?
Many thanks,  JIM

I was pretty happy with the PPG 60583 when I finished my General. It seemed to closely match some of the original paint we found inside the bell housing, and final drives. I think The original Cletrac orange did have a lot of yellow in it.
