Title: 1958 oliver 0c46
Post by: TimWag on January 12, 2011, 05:15:29 PM
I just purchaced a 1958 Oliver oc46 crawler. The problem is that it has a continental engine in it. It was working fine until the clutch started to slip. Now I have no idea what clutch I need to put in it. any suggestions?? Thanks, Tim

pull it apart. there should be a part number stamped on the pressure plate.

ok, someone put a 162 continental engine in it. the bell housing has a blaw-knox co plate on it. model #hd503, serial #333. the clutch  is shot. can anyone help me find this or should I get it resurfaced?

Take the clutch disc to Napa. They can probably match it up. Also take the pressure plate to them and they can tell you if it needs to be replaced or can be re-surfaced. If it just needs light re-surfacing you can do it with a sanding disc in a drill going around it lightly. If it's more than that your Napa probably has a machine shop.
