Title: Ideas for a blade
Post by: Wes (MI) on February 01, 2011, 01:15:17 AM
I need some ideas/opinions on a blade. I'm in the process of purchasing an AGH with out a blade. I was thinking about using a Western 7'-6" blade I have that has had the ribs heavily re-inforced. Would this work out ok? Does anyone have other ideas/opinions? I'd like to make this an under the frame mount to keep the overall width of the crawler down. If anyone has pics and measurements that would be great. I would also like to get some recommendations on cylinder sizes (mainly shaft diameters). Thanks in advance.

Wes, I think that blade would work, but you would have to use your head. If you wern't careful I think it might bent it. I'll send you some pics of the blade on the yellow tractor. Its a nice setup, and could be easily made.

Bob, thanks again. I'm just trying to see what others have done, and what other 'models' are out there. Fabrication and welding isn't a problem for me, it's what I do for a living. Besides, I don't want to be too much of a PITA for you. : )
