What you suppose it's worth Bob? Should I try to save it?

Worth at least scrap price. A dozer is always worth saving especially if it runs and or has good tracks...

I offered $300 and they said they'd take $300 for it,so now the fun begins...trying to load that thing with a blown rear end....where you suppose I can find one?

What model is it? I think they only had a couple models of their first ones. It probably has the same Clark rear end as an OC-3.

I believe American Tractor Company was started by ex-Cletrac personnel.

The person selling it doesn't have any idea,as far as I can tell...it's a mystery tractor at this time, the supports that mount out on the end of the sprockets are different than anything else I can find on Terratracs, but they're kinda rare and I am having trouble figuring out what it is.
I'm probably just buying parts, but if I can get Oliver parts to fit then it might be a runner after a little bit, seems pretty good as far as I can tell from two crappy pictures,at least it looks like most of it is there.
I figure for $300 the engine is worth it if it's really as fresh as they say.

I'm thinking maybe OC4 rearend. Well, I'm thinking some or most of the terra tracks had 4 speeds, and I'm 99% sure they were the same as the Olivers

Heck for $300 you can't go wrong! Here scrap is over $300 per ton

Well,if they ever get back to me I'll probably go get it,they were very prompt about returning the emails at first, then I asked about when I can come get it....nothing....asked once more......nothing....oh well craigslist is like that sometimes.
Someone must have bought it.

It's a 1952 GT-30 25hp,the rear end is fine as far as I can tell by looking at it,the final drives are crap, hope they're fixable.

Tracks are good,it's got Oliver idlers and sprockets, the tracks were fiddle string tight, that's what did the final drives in I think....what Oliver uses the Clark rear like that,OC3?

OC3 or OC4 would be the same I'd guess, ones a 4 speed, the other is a 3 speed.

You have it running yet?

Naw,I just got back from Canada, then grabbed the thing, the engine is stuck, hopefully not too bad,at least the tracks are pretty good, grousers are beat, but the chains ain't bad.

Going to put some diesel/ATF in the cylinders and let it sit,I've got to get the second DDH going,so this one will probably have to wait,I'm going to try to find out how to fix it though.

Hey how far are you from Nevada? Theres a DDH with a Sargent overhead loader headed to the scrap heap there. It needs a home, its too good to scrap. Almost too far for me...
