Well guys I started the HG today, even drove it a tad bit. Dont know the shift pattern but I got it to go forward and backward.
Oil seems to be leaking from the bellhousing probably needs a rear seal.
There is a bit of a knock, any chance I am lucky enough for it to be a nut or something some animal has stashed in the bellhousing?

After a bit of searching I guess an Allis B/C/CA radiator is the same size and I found one cheap on ebay so it is sitting on there now. All I gotta do is figure out what to do about the hoses.
This is going to be a fun little machine to play around with!

Just wondering guys...Anyone know the part number or a place to get the rear seal for the Herc IXK3?
Another question, are the bearings shimmed in this motor? Havnt been about to get it on the engine stand yet was just trying to plan ahead. Got to thinking maybe if these bearings are shimmed I can take a shim out and tighten them up a tad.

SO...
I had a little free time and got the motor pulled out. Got the flywheel off...Is there no rear seal at all or what in this engine? And if So...Is it really supposed to dump oil all over the ground as it runs?
OR
Are my bearings too loose allowing oil to spray all over the place and as a reseult is finding a way to leak out and also why I hear a funny rattle?
Suppose its time to find a manual for this motor.
