I have a Carco SG winch for my OC3. Does anybody know where I can get a manual for it?

I'd bet Zimmermans
Hotratz,
Thanks I should have checked there first. BTW, I used your method for "Accurate bearing preloading" on my final drives. Worked great. You rock!
Thanks

HEY! Thanks for doing that. It means all that effort I put into developing that process wasn't in vain after all. I'm curious though, the frame in your avatar looks like an HG or early OC-3, I thought those finals had ball bearings in them. If so this process wouldn't apply. Or were the finals swapped out?
Keep those pictures coming on your progress. By the looks of that frame it should be a jewel.
The plate on the bell housing said 11WH-718, which puts it at 1952. Of course it might have been replaced. The finals had rollerbearings when I bought it. It had a 1954 engine and two different year idler wheel hubs. What a mutt. ;D
Hi.
My father has a Carco S or SG winch on his OC-3. It is a great unit.
He also has a manual for it. He wrote to Carco, or Pacific Car and Foundry Company, or whoever owns them now. They were a great help. They sent a photocopy of the manual including a page on the adapter assembly for the HG 42. Talk about great customer service after fifty some years.

Floyd County Historical Society has a ton of manuals. If they have it, they will send you a photo copy very reasonable. And it helps support a good cause ! http://www.olivertractormanuals.org/olivertractormanuals-2.html (http://www.olivertractormanuals.org/olivertractormanuals-2.html)
Thanks Eric, I will contact them. Got a parts list from Pacific Car.
Kevin,
Do you think your Father would sell a photo copy of his manual?
WJMurray:
How about if I just send you a copy of it?
What is your mailing address? It is only 18 pages long.

Kevin,
That would be fantastic! I really appreciate it. I'll email you my address. Let me know if the one on your profile here is not current. Thanks again!!
William
Thanks Kevin,
Got the manual yesterday. We are like kids in a candy store:) ;D
