Title: 1942 HG 42 engine replacement
Post by: wydiver on January 22, 2012, 03:57:01 AM
Will a IXLB-3 replace a IXB-3?
I understand that the stroke is longer, but is there anything else that is different?
Thanks allot for all the help.

Off the top of my head, I don't think the stroke is longer. I was told the valves are a bit tougher. I have an IXLB in my '45 HG (see my avatar pic on the left). Perfect replacement for the original IXK for more power and longevity, plus I now have the distributor set-up that came with many IXLBs.
John S. will know more, I am sure. John?
