Just picked up a 42 with a complete Anderson set up...the arched hydraulic tank over the hood and solid mount blade to arms. My question is, The arms are held on to the frame with 2, 9" long x 2" dia. pins. The what appears to be set screws are gone from the frame work around the pins and I can't get the pins out. Is ther a trick for removing them or any advice? I prefer not to break something if I can help it as I would like to reuse any parts I remove. Thanks in advance Cork
Mine's an OC3, it has a bar going all the way across with saddles and U-bolts. Drops right off.
Looks like you might need a rosebud tip and a BIG hammer. ;D
When I pullled off the stuff that arches over the top, to get to the engine, I just borrowed a rivet cutting tip and torched off the bolts, then used new hardware.
Thanks for the reply Bill, I've got an Anderson like you describe and removal was easy. I thought that just maybe somebody had a "magic" solution. It looks like a rosebud and BFH are the ticket. The frame work for the Anderson is very well welded to the Oliver frame so dropping it is out of the question. The biggest problem other than rust is access to the pins from outside of the track carriage...Time to get creative. Cork
