Title: What do good/bad sprockets look like
Post by: jeffesonm on June 06, 2012, 03:22:04 AM
Hi all - I am eyeing up an HG 68 and have read that the under carriage is one of the most important things to look out for.  Does anyone have pictures of what good/bad sprockets look like?

Thanks,

Jeff

A new sprocket will have about a 3/4" flat across the top of the tooth. Most are replaced or repaired when the flat is 1/4" or less.
