My neighbor was clearing some blackberries and under them was this shed. In the shed is a old Cleveland tractor Model BDH serial # 7D844.
Now the berries are forgotten and he wants to get this piece of equipment running. He can use it to clear the berries next year. His problem is, where can he get parts and a manual for it? We live in the Sierra foothills about 40 miles east of Sacramento.
You can get original manuals off ebay for it reasonable. If I were you I would get i touch with Bechthold Tractor service in Lodi for help and parts also. Bill is quite helpful and has quite a few parts.
Sounds like a great find!

We WANT PICTURES!! ;D
This is a great story. I would love to see pictures. I am a Cat guy. I am south of you in the foothills. I have picked up a few Cats. My first tractor was an AG Cletrac. It was not a H model but I farmed sidehills with it. I would to try a BDH for farming sidehills, I bet it would go where no Cat could.
Does this tractor have a blade?
I gave Carl my camera to take some pics of it, will post them when he brings the camera back. It does have a blade, but someone told him it is a straight blade and will not tilt. From what he has found he will need so far is a radiator, battery and some connector between two staffs. So within the next few days the pics will be up if I can figure out how to do that, something I have a problem with. Lucky I can figure out how to find these sites. Remember, I am the baby of this group and I am 68, didn't have these things when I was growing up.
Here are a couple of pics Carl just took. Hope someone might be able to give him some advice.
Get 'er running.
