Hello all, just bought my first Oliver, an OC-3 industrial with dozer. This is a bit of a project crawler as it currently does not run, It has a Mercedes diesel transplant in it that was never quite finished. Can not read serial number clearly yet but working on that. Researching as much as I can on this old machine and hope to have it running by summer. This will join my Ford 851 and Case 1740 for working around the farm. Need to understand serial numbers related to manuals and parts listings as so far many listed for sale indicate certain serial numbers only. Any help in this area or anything in all areas of these machines is welcome! And of course sources for parts as well. Jim W
Welcome to the Cletrac Forum Jim! I sold a Mercedes diesel to a young guy who was going to put it into an HG. I wonder if it's the same guy?

Blake,
Nice to meet you, It would not surprise me if so. This one is Yellow painted with the transmission. The OC-3 is the industrial version and is also Yellow. The install was not completed but it looks like it got to the point where it was test ran. Right now the motor seems to be tied up but we will be working it from there to be sure. No radiator mounted either. I bought her with a motor replacement in mind anyway. The fellow I got it from traded a milling machine for it from whoever was doing the conversion. It was located West of Toledo, Ohio in Swanton but not sure where it was at prior. I tried to upload a profile pic of it but cant seem to get that to work, any ideas? I select the pic using the browse function and the pic path shows up but nothing happens from there.

There is a 125 kb limit on attachments, so you may have to resize. The fellow I sold the Benz to was Anthony someone. It's a 4 cylinder 200D diesel with a 4 speed and hydraulic clutch. It's a 1967. I rebuilt that engine with new pistons back in the early 80s and ran it for many thousand miles. Heavy car and got 35 mpg! If that's the engine, don't replace it.
Ok, will have to resize as its well beyond that! THis one does not have the hydrauilic assist (perhaps removed?) from what I can tell, the linkage goes straight to the fork Y outside end. IT is not hard to operate by hand from the foot lever. Not familiar with this diesel so not sure where to check for model or serial number on it. To cold today so will have to wait until Saturday before I get back out there to get chassis serial etc as I want to identify the year etc. Several online folks have manuals etc as well, I need to get ordered in. Would be nice if this was your engine so I would at least know its history, something you dont get to much of with these antiques!

Hello all,
Need some input here. Reading the identification plate riveted to the outside frame just below the engine on the crawlers right side, here is what I find.
AC Anderson INC
New Jersey
Model F3A H ANG
Serial OP6120
I see that this is for the Anderson dozer blade I have with this but it is riveted to the frame not the sheet metal.
I have the original bell housing but there is no information on it, Is there a place on the frame I should be looking for to find the tracotr info?
Jim
Jim, have you made any progress with your tractor with the Mercedes engine?
