Title: Facebook Page for Oliver-Cletrac HG, OC3-4
Post by: oliverchris on February 11, 2013, 10:17:09 PM
Hey folks. I am just starting a Facebook page with a bunch of pics.
If some of you guys can 'like' my page, when it gets to 30, it becomes fully operational. I will try to post a range of interesting pics over the coming months.
Thanks, Chris

Just put some more interesting photos on there, including The Gang of Four being delivered!
1939 Cletrac EHG68; '53 Oliver OC3; '38 Cletrac EG38; '55 Oliver OC3 Universal Trencher.
They were delivered on a regular road trailer instead of the low-boy I ordered. So at short notice I had to rent a 10 ton rough terrain forklift to get them off the trailer!

Here's smaller pic of it...

Using railroad ties as fork extenders I got the OC3, EHG68, and the EG38 off OK. But the Universal Trencher was, well, exciting, shall we say!

Sorry,  I  don't   "do"  certain things.     Nudity in public,  Walmart,  and "Social"   internet pages.

You mean it wasn't you I saw posted on the Internet running around naked at Walmart?

No,  heh.      And  I  would never  have believed  that I'd  hear,  at age 64,  that some prospective employers  would want  to check  someone's online social page  before or if  they might hire that  person.

Yea, I'm not into the social sites either. I've spent most of my life trying to keep people from knowing what I do, not that anything I do is bad, I just like my privacy. As to employers, considering some in this most recent generation, that's probably not a bad idea. If your stupid enough to post incriminating things on the net, your probably too stupid to work for me.  ;D

I have resisted Facebook too.
That is why this is merely a BUSINESS Facebook page - quite different from the personal social networking thing. For businesses, I have to say, I reckon it can work well. It looks good if you put up some interesting photos. You'll find a lot of interesting information on there without any hard sell or junk mail. I just posted a series of photos showing the different serial tags and how to date your HG or OC3 - I am continuing to update that section.
I am not even sure you have to be a Facebook member to look at the pics on a business page.

On Roadrunner's post: I was stuck between choosing two guys to employ. I decided to 'Google' their names. The one guy had been squirrelled out of South Korea by his influential father. He was teaching English there and got himself arrested for importing drugs from Canada!! :o
Yep, I hired the other guy. ;D

Chris,

Just checked out your FB page :o  and I must say that I'm most impressed  ;D with the lead photo of you on an absolutely awesome OC3 equipped with the factory Jet Trencher. ;)

Thanks Tom!  ;D
I wondered when and if you'd get to see that pic. I must say, I REALLY miss that baby. My 550 backhoe is all but useless on snow or mud - slides all over the place.
I have a Jet Trencher for an OC4, but it needs some work before I'll be destroying any more driveways  ;)

Hi Chris,
I checked out your FB page, very nice, I did not need to be a FB member to look at it but I could not "like" it with out being a member. I'll have the wife & kids log on & like it ASAP.
