Title: OC-3 Clutch Adjustment Tips?
Post by: Paul Bianchi on March 11, 2014, 01:06:00 AM
Anyone have any tips for adjusting the clutch on an OC-3 with a Ware loader?

The last time I adjusted it I had a challenge over coming the spring tension on the release rod. It really made it a pain to get the yoke to clear the clutch pedal so I could spin it for adjustment.   Because of the loader, I had to make the adjustment from underneath.  If I remember correctly, I have to spin the yoke in to shorten the release rod to get the proper amount of free pedal travel? ???

Sorry for the wait Paul. I've been otherwise engaged with family matters. Plus the fact of the worst Winter up here in 20+ years for snow and ice and prolonged periods below zero.
From factory, pedal free travel [at top of pedal] is 1 3/4in. When reduced to 3/4in. through disc wear, disconnect the release rod yoke from the clutch pedal 'stay' [=remove cotter pin], spin yoke on threaded release rod [to make it longer] until free travel is 1 3/4 again. Best of luck. Chris (OliverCrawlers)
