When I put a single 12v battery on my BDH is it positive ground ?

Yes it should be. Can you tell whether the old battery was hooked up positive ground or not?

Blake,,I didn't get a battery with this one but Sam "cletracboy" sent me a wiring diagram and it shows + ground. Just want to be sure as not to fry any parts..

You should be fine. Can't think of anything you could fry. No points to burn on that diesel.

Usually, there's a slight difference in the battery terminal size between + and -.  That should give you a hint too..
