I just aquired a Cletrac AGH (1937?) with a Chysler Industrial Motor (I am told) serial #22193. It is a 6 cylinder. I am wondering the year and where parts may be available for this engine. Would also like to know horse power and ci.

Are you sure it is an AG or is it an AG-6 which would have a continental 6 cylinder.If your engine has a distributor type ignition, where is the distributor located?
Thank for the reply, John. I will be visiting the tractor next week and will gather more information, including where/if there is a distributer. The person I got it from is very mechanically inclined and wrote on the bill of sale Chrysler Idustrial. The radiator and hood have been moved back about 4". I have not had a chance to get up close and play with. It runs good, burns oil though.

I am not sure if anyone ever replied to this but, no matter the AGH or AG-6, that engine number is incorrect. I am looking at a "Tractor Model, Serial number, Instruction book and parts book identification Sheet" from February 1946 and that number does not fly. AG-6's weren't built until 1944. AG's were built 1936-1937 & 1937-1942 with engine serial numbers between 223630-245972. Could be a transplanted engine or wrong engine serial number.
That is correct, HOWEVER if your old OOC Hercules failed and you ordered a new engine from Cletrac(Oliver) the Continental was sent in its place as no more of the OOC engines were available That information was covered in a service bulletin.
I wonder how many of the AG's were repowered by F-226 Continentals? I betcha there weren't many since the OOC engines lasted well if maintained.

There is a show over here by Fort Wayne. They have an AG there with the Continental. It is there about half of the time.
I have not visited the site for awhile and see there is a reply. The engine is definitly a Continental F-226 that was a installed. The manifold says Cletrac and I have confirmed the serial number as 22193. John Schwiebert says that a service bulletin shows that the Continental was a replacement engine. This would explain the change and the serial numbers were probably not related the the AG numbers. The distributer is located on head, just back of center. There are some engine photos in the Photo section under Huffman.
I can never get tired of seeing Cletrac enthusiast on working Cletracs. thanks for the photos Dave!
