Post by: R Wood on September 03, 2015, 03:58:30 PM
Anyone have any info on the air cap. Mine was missing from my E-62. I can fab here in my commercial metal shop but need pictures, dimensions, and any help would be appreciated.I know they are next to impossible to find.

What do you mean by air cap? Air cleaner or air precleaner that is above hood? Bill in CT.

Above the hood. I cleaned out the Vortox below the hood. I didn't know the above hood was a precleaner.
It makes sense - the vortox was so dirty the precleaner must have been off for a while.

Keep your eyes open on the classified section on here, and place a wanted ad on there. Shouldn't be too hard to find one if you're patient. Is it styled or unstyled? Model A should be the same. Also Cletrac 15 or 20C. Might be small differences as styles changed or updated.

I might have one. Gimme a few days. I'll go scout around the barn. I have a pile of E parts. I have a crank handle stay that's quite rare, if you need one? I was keeping it for a guy - but he never sent the check.

Had a good look at the 'E' pallet today. Sadly, no air cleaner or pre-cleaner. Nice rad, whole rear-end with all the levers, trans. covers etc.. PTO/Belt pulley unit, flywheel/clutch, brake stuff, rad cowling, gauge panel, crank handle and assembly, and a few smaller bits and pieces.
Sorry about that.
