Post by: symonds86 on November 27, 2015, 11:00:27 PM
hi my name is derrick from upstate ny and i joined the forum after looking an old cletrac my neighbor is thinking of selling. i need a little help on weather not to consider buying it.  It looks like an oc 4 but the front grill looks a bit different and it says cletrac across the top of the front. it has a snow blade on the front and the hydralic pump runs off the pto looks all homemade. she runs great has the 4 cyl herculis engine but the owner says the clutch is getting bad can a clutch be found? also the front steel (idlers)? are so worn the outside ribs are about gone, and one rear sprocket looks crooked, Bearing bad?   the current owner bout it from the original owners son in 1984 and since he is in his 80s now wants to see it fixed up and used not scraped im a mechanic an fabricator by trade so working on it doesnt bother me im just worried about getting parts  thanks already for all the inof i have already found here

I operate out of Upstate NY (top of I-81, but I have a bunch of stuff near Syracuse too). I can help with just about everything. Sounds like she's plenty worn in places. If she's been operating with that snow blade in the Tug Hill area, no wonder! :o OliverCrawlers.com or check out my facebook (OliverCrawlers)
Or gimme a call 343-363-5252

I've done 20 a few times through Pompey and Cazenovia heading east, so not too far away. Talk to you soon. Best of luck with all the bits and pieces in that shed. If there's a PTO you don't want, I'm first in line OK?  ;D
