Title: Rear sprocket outer support
Post by: Jcadwell on December 28, 2015, 07:10:56 PM
I'm considering taking a look at the cletrac (I assume HG42) in the link below.  I noticed that the rear sprocket doesn't have the outer support (outer trunnion bearing?) shown in the pictures.  Did they ever come without them, or is it missing from this example?  I previously owned an OC-3, and have never seen one without that support.  The paint on the carriage doesn't look like the part has been on recently.

Something looks a little funky there!I think the supports are missing. Hopefully others will weigh in.  Bill in CT.

I've never seen one without the outer trunion support bearing bracket. The early versions did not have a bearing but did have a trunnion support. The picture of the right side looks like something has been removed from that area, before it was painted. It also has a piece of metal on each track frame angled up, I guess to keep mud from collecting on the track frame. It also appears to have an Avery hood & grill as the hood does not extend to the front of the machine & the grill & side panels appear to be one piece.
