Title: New member from Aptos CA needs help identifying his tractor!
Post by: nrdes on August 14, 2016, 11:36:47 PM
Hey folks, new to this site (but reminds me of my beloved Stovebolt.com!) -- purchased a farm in Watsonville CA with my brother and started picking through a bunch of old equipment on the site. This old crawler was on the property buried in the mud. New plugs, gas, a few fuel- and hydraulic lines later and it was running. But what is it? Can you help identify it, or instruct us on how to do so? Any help would be appreciated. Here's a photo to the only serial number i've found so far: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6rUTkteXdljbkdTdU0tRkRpWS11Tl9Za3VhaGU5aXc2QTM4/view?usp=sharing

Next up a few videos.... uploading, uploading....

I think it's a Cletrac HG. Look for the serial number on the right hand frame outside near where your right foot would rest. The later ones had it up on the bell housing.

Welcome aboard!

I think that frame spot may be covered by the hyd fluid reservoir?

Looks like an HG to me too, if you can't find the serial number plate check for a casting date, cast into the engine block behind the magneto. Never seen one with a coil spring & shock absorber under the seat. The 3-point hitch has a hydraulically adjustable top link & looks like the front support arms have been either replaced or welded solidly to the track frames, maybe the blade manufacturer?
