Title: Governor adjustment on Ag 4
Post by: Niko on December 05, 2016, 12:12:43 AM
Hi, I was wondering what to check for on the governor of my new project, a AG 4 i think 1937 vintage. Before I start the machine. Since the old gal has a few years on her I want to be careful. The governor is located on the right side of the block in the front. The unit seems to be connected correctly. Though the spring on the bottom is pretty stiff. The previous owner couldn't get it running, not for lack of trying

Hi Niko,  so I am presuming that you have tried to start the tractor, and you believe the governor is not working correctly? I like to get the tractor started and idling before I adjust the governor. Good luck with your new project . Post some photos when you can

What is the serial number  of your AG4 , I just came across one with number 18010, no CLETRAC on top of radiator.

Was there anything on top of the radiator Richard? Is it streamlined or undsteamlined?

I got the machine to start but wanted to change figs and clean carb, before I let her run awhile.
