Title: Source for OC-3 u-joints
Post by: yonson on March 19, 2018, 03:03:38 PM
I need to replace u-joints on my OC-3 crawler (I understand they are same as Ford model A, the ones with a hole in the cross).  Can anyone point me to a source?

I replaced mine with Spicer, Moog and Rockwell units over the years as I rebuilt the tractors. These had grease fittings, so would last longer . . . As if thAT'S A FACTOR, WHEN THE ORIGINALS lasted forty - fifty years!

Didn't record part numbers, unfortunately.

I've recorded the splines as 1.1" OD by 6; that might be the standard 1 1/8 PTO shaft size and I measured wrong . . .

Found the Model A rebuild kits at Snyders Antique Auto in Ohio.  Great customer service.
