Hi Folks:
I have an opportunity to pick up an HG that has sat outside rusting in the Northern New York Snow Country. Unfortunately, I do not have the capability to move it onto a trailer. Can any of the HG experts advised the process of dismantling it in the field into manageable pieces that I so that I could hand winch onto a small equipment trailer that can hold about a 1000 pounds! Any thoughts and help are greatly appreciated.
Boy--you sure you don't want to give some thought to hiring a rollback and making your life much simpler?
That HG is about as small and easy as they come. Any pickup truck can pull one on a trailer.
Yes the tractor itself is about 3200 lbs.
Rent a trailer and get your self a suitible winch or com-a-long, some chain and have at it.
Take apart only what you need to later on when you get it home.
Regards,
George Gibby:)
Gentleman: Thanks Very Much for your responses, I trust and will heed your advice. Found a guy with a rollback, will transport it back to my place for $100. Simple enough! Thanks Again!
